Financial Calculators
Mortgages, loans, investments, savings, and cash-flow analysis - every money calculation you need. Standard financial formulas, amortization schedules, currency support, and step-by-step breakdowns.
How to Use These Calculators
Start with the calculator that matches your question. Comparing home loans? Use the Mortgage Calculator first, then House Affordability to see what fits your budget. Paying off debt? Run the Loan Calculator, then Mortgage Payoff to model extra payments.
For major purchases
Mortgage and Auto Loan calculators include taxes, insurance, and fees - not just principal and interest. Always compare the total cost over the full term, not just the monthly payment.
For investing
Use Investment and Savings calculators for long-term projections. IRR and ROI calculators help compare opportunities with different cash-flow patterns. Remember: projected returns are hypothetical.
Key Financial Formulas
Loan payment (PMT)
Monthly payment = P ร [r(1+r)โฟ] รท [(1+r)โฟ - 1], where P is principal, r is monthly rate, and n is number of payments. This is the standard amortizing loan formula used by mortgage and auto loan calculators.
Compound interest
A = P(1 + r/n)^(nt) - final amount A from principal P, annual rate r, compounded n times per year for t years. The Interest and Savings calculators use this with various compounding frequencies.
Time value of money
The Finance Calculator (TVM) solves the five-variable model: FV, PV, PMT, I/Y, and N. Any one variable can be computed when the other four are known - the foundation of corporate finance and investment analysis.
